The new Game Center app on iPod touch lets you expand your social gaming network. Exponentially. All anyone needs to play is an iPod touch or iPhone running iOS 4.1. With iOS 4.1, you'll see a Game Center app on your Home screen. Just tap it and sign in with your Apple ID, and you're good to go. You can create a different nickname that will be visible to friends and the gaming community. You can also assign several email addresses to the Game Center app, making it easy for more friends to find you. Download any games you see by tapping links in Game Center. Games can be started right in the Game Center app. And the best part: Once you sign in to Game Center, you're always connected. Until you decide to sign out.

Spirit Jailbreak iPod Touch 3.1.3 Demonstration
comex released his jailbreakme.com jailbreak yesterday which jailbreaks ALL iPhone, iPod and iPad iOS models current as of August 2, 2010. SPIRIT DOES NOT work on the iPod Touch 2G if it if an MC model device. To find out what model you have go to Settings and General and About. Your Model will have something that looks like MC058LL or similar. If it starts with MC DO NOT try Spirit. Wait for redsn0w from dev-team to release the update for MC model devices. This demonstrates the Spirit jailbreak software on an iPod Touch. Sorry about the camera focusing in and out. No clue what that's about but you get the idea. REMEMBER Windows 7 & Vista people go into the properties of Spirit.exe and select compatibility mode for Windows 98 to get it to work properly. Props @comex

So about a week ago I shipped out my brand new iPhone 4 32GB, in black(obviously), to a company called iFix Direct. What they will do is charge you $179.99 and you get nothing. Just kidding, for $179.99 you can get your black iPhone 4 parts swapped out for white ones. Now this is a little bit on the expensive side, but if you are wanted a white iPhone as bad as I did, you would dish out the cash. Either that or you're just looking for attention... Anyways, the whole process was pretty straight forward, they send you an envelope, you mail it, and get your iPhone 4 back in white. Afterwards, they will email you, asking you if you wanted to sell your black parts to them. Now this can take off almost 50% of the $179.99 price tag. If your parts are in good condition, you may only be paying around $100 for the swap. $100 isn't too much if you are looking for a great conversation starter at a party or a social gathering, or maybe you're just looking to have the cool, sleek, sexy, white iPhone 4. Standard features for all iPod touch sizes (8GB, 32GB, and 64GB) include Contacts (store phone numbers, emails, etc.), Maps, Photos (from a camera, Google Images, etc.), Clock (with timer, stopwatch, etc.), Calculator, Videos (from iTunes and computer), Notes, Mail (email w/ reading and writing), Safari (Internet), Calendar, Youtube, Voice Memos (recorder and mic required on earphones), App Store, Music, and Settings (for functionality). The 8GB starts at $199, the 32GB at $299, and the 64GB at $399. The functionality, luxury, and convenience of the iPod touch are all very high. It is sufficiently durable though may scratch.
